About Us
We are a vintage, quirky, one of a kind coffee shop cat lounge with our very own therapy cats Coconut, Teddy, Stanley, Maverick, Ernie and Olive! We have been providing feline therapy since 2017. We sell a variety of drinks like coffee, tea, milkshakes including a good selection of cakes, savouries and other specials.
We provide a unique lounge experience from the 1950's to the 1990's. People of all ages, needs and walks life can come and visit, enjoying our décor, playing an old game, looking at old memorabilia from different eras and spending time with the cats. Remember those days round your Nan's? You can be rest assured there is an old Argos catalogue or some toys you may remember!
How you come up with the idea?
Ever since she was young, Caroline has always had a love for cats and this was further shown by her commitment to fundraise for local animal charities in Luton. She had even worked with people of all ages and needs showing her passion to help others. This only added to her the drive to have her own venture to help animals and people on her own terms. Though she always had the idea, she had never been able to chase this dream while working a full time job in education for over nine years.
Only when an unfortunate situation forced her to leave to take care of her terminally ill father in 2016 would she find the drive to do something. In the months following she had worked out a plan to achieve these aims and three years later her dream had finally begun. Keeping that same passion and determination from her younger years, the shop first opened on the 1st June 2019. She had jumped through many hoops to make it, but it has only help inspired more ideas then she ever dream about.
To this day, Caroline has helped over hundreds of people of all ages and needs which continues to rise day by day. Everyone here at darling darlings enjoy meeting every person that walks through that door while bringing people and cats together.
